Questions members ask

Is my membership tax-deductible?

GSIC is a fiscally sponsored program of United Charitable, a registered 501(c)(3) public charity. Your finance team will want the sponsorship letter — we send it with every invoice.

Do I have to be in Georgia?

No. The work happens here, and plenty of members are national or global organizations with a stake in what gets built in Georgia.

How many people does an organization membership cover?

Startup covers two named seats; Growth, Academic, Civic, and Nonprofit each cover five. Seats are named but reassignable at any time, so the right person from your team is always in the room.

What if we’re a startup?

Startup membership is $500 a year for pre-seed through Series A, and Growth is $1,500 for Series B and up. Founders often hold an individual Founder membership alongside it.

Membership or an Activation Partnership?

Membership is year-round access for you or your team. An Activation Partnership is for companies co-creating programming with us — SIG events, content, and talent access — starting at $5,000 and scoped in conversation.

How many SIGs can I join?

There is no cap. Every membership includes participation across all ten Special Interest Groups; most members go deep on one or two.
